About the Owner:
A few weeks ago I was contacted by Bill Hodson, who is the owner of our February 2016 cover bike, and the new owner of this nostalgic 1973 AMF Harley-Davidson TX-125.

During our conversation, Bill told me a touching story about his friend/neighbor’s son Matt, who was diagnosed this past June with stage 4 cancer. He told me that Matt’s parents are elderly and very dear friends of his, and explained that both of them are pretty frail, and that Matt’s mother had recently been nursed back to health after suffering some serious life-threatening health issues.

On Saturday, September 30, 2017, Stripe, JO, Nichole, Skye, and I walked out the gate from our backyard and down the street to Dell’s Powersports (DPS) for their annual Geezers and Wheezers Classic Motorcycle Show. We normally ride to most of the bike shows we cover; however, it was kind of nice for a change to walk there from home in my shorts and sandals.

For this month's issue, we invite you to take a look behind the scenes at our September 2017 Cover Shoot video, which follows cover model Kate through her photo shoot and interview. Also make sure to check out the specs and additional photos of this beautiful and rare 1925 Indian Prince, and our interview with bike owner Mark Kozak.

Our September 2017 cover bike is owned by Mark Kozak, and we were excited to shoot his 1925 Indian Prince for this month’s cover. Mark is from Kansas City, Missouri, and we had the opportunity to gather additional information about him and his Prince. We also had fun shooting cover model Kate on Mark’s bike for this month’s cover. I’m sure you’ll also enjoy this month’s behind the scenes photos and video!

1925 Indian Prince

Our September 2017 cover bike is a 1925 Indian Prince, which is owned by Mark Kozak from Kansas City, Missouri. As I’m sure you know by now, we’ve always enjoyed featuring vintage motorcycles in our magazine, and this beauty is no exception.

Our September 2017 cover model is Kate, from Raytown, Missouri. Her ambitions include becoming a flight attendant and traveling the world! Kate’s hobbies include yoga, pole work, and sports, including volleyball. When it comes to turn-ons, she said “A nice smile, someone who can make me laugh, and someone tall and adventurous!” On the flipside she told us, “Someone who is lazy, has bad breath, and is shallow and too sensitive” is a major turnoff. Kate also admits she’s a sucker for “A guy who can sing or play any instrument.” She describes her personality as “Sweet, outgoing, adventurous, and ambitious.” Kate has also been told that her best attribute is her legs and her long hair.

Since we were unable to ride up with the group last year, I was really looking forward to this year’s road trip to the 77th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Oil change…check, everything packed…check (at least I think so), house sitter arranged…check, OK…time to get the hell out of Dodge…or rather Blue Springs!

For this month's issue, we invite you to take a look behind the scenes at our August 2017 Cover Shoot video, which follows cover model Lulu through her photo shoot and interview. Also make sure to check out the specs and additional photos of this beautifully restored 1958 Harley-Davidson FL Duo-Glide, and our interview with bike owner Derek Melhorn.

Derek is from Kearney, Missouri, and we had the opportunity to gather more information about him and his Duo-Glide. We also had fun shooting cover model Lulu on Derek’s bike for this month’s cover. I’m sure you’ll also enjoy this month’s behind the scenes photos and video!
