Cover Bike & Cover Model Search at Worth Harley-Davidson - Kansas City, Missouri

Written by  October 31, 2014

Worth Harley-Davidson was the location for our last cover bike & cover model search of the riding season, which took place on Thursday, September 25, 2014, and coincided with their weekly bike night.

Stripe, Lonnie, Randall, Nichole, and I arrived early to setup our booth and to block off a section of the parking lot for our cover bike search. Before we had everything setup, several bikes had begun arriving and entering our cover bike search. Nichole was also busy signing up girls for our cover model search.

Throughout the evening, more and more bikes kept rolling in, and before long, the parking lot was filling up, as was our cover bike search staging area. Lonnie was busy taking photos as Randall “Sea Hawk” Hauk, our videographer, was busy shooting video for our cover bike & cover model search video. The Worth Girls were busy working the beer booths and our November 2014 cover model Samantha was busy with the bikini bike wash. The popular band SWITCH was also busy rocking the large crowd that always shows up for what’s become the largest bike night in Kansas City.

By the time we cut off our cover bike and cover model search registration, we had several awesome bikes signed up for our cover bike search, and lots of gorgeous ladies signed up to compete for our cover model search. Once the bike search registration was closed, the judges began the task of narrowing down the bike entries to their top three choices. Around 7:30 p.m. I used the band’s’ PA system to introduce the cover model search contestants to an excited crowd. As I introduced each contestant, they made their runway walk across the stage. The girls posed for a while so everyone could get some good photos, and so the judges could compare notes to make their top selections. The judges handed me their votes for the top cover bike and cover model search entries, and it was time to calculate their votes and announce the winners.

As soon as all the votes were tabulated, it was time to bring the girl’s back out to a cheering and excited crowd. Bree, from Platte City, Missouri took first place, Tina from St. Joseph, Missouri won second place, and Ally from Weston, Missouri and Carrie from Blue Springs, Missouri tied for third place. Next, it was time to announce the winners of our cover bike search. Tonight’s winner was Steve Witt’s 2007 Big Inch Bike, second place was Rich Aubrey Jr.’s 2008 Big Bear Sled 300, and the night’s third place winner was Tricia Murphy’s 2009 Harley-Davidson Springer CVO. We’ll be shooting Bree on Steve’s bike for an upcoming cover.

We then had the cover bike winners move their bikes to the middle of the parking lot so we could take photos of the winning models on the winning bikes. Randall also video-taped the photo shoot, which is always very entertaining.

We had a great time, and I want to thank Rick, Nick, Cathy, and entire Worth Harley-Davidson crew for hosting another great cover bike and cover model search. I’d also like to thank all the bikers who attended the event, as well as the cover bike & cover model search participants who joined in the fun.
