4th Annual Ride for NorthCare Hospice Dice Run – Kearney, Missouri

Written by  June 1, 2013

Saturday May 11, 2013, all of Natasha Rake’s hard work came to fruition, and the 4th Annual Ride for NorthCare Hospice Dice Run transpired. This amazing charity event is hosted to assist in the cost of providing hospice services to individuals who do not have insurance benefits. Participation in the event ensures all patients can receive the health services they deserve during the most needed part of their lives. Natasha, you’re one cool lady for all the selfless work and hours you dedicate year round to promote this event.

The day started and concluded at Stables Grill in Kearney, Missouri who charitably donated the space and 10% of all food sales of the day to NorthCare Hospice. Participants in the dice run traveled approximately 90 miles with 88 bikes making three stops with dice rolls at James Kennedy’s Family Restaurant, The Bunk House, and Smithville TT Bar, ending at Stables Grill.

Upon returning to Stables Grill, the incredible band RIVERGARD was jamming in support of the cause and rocking all the bikers throughout the afternoon. The staff proceeded to do random drawings for all of the wonderful donated gifts from all of the sponsors. Those holding low and high dice hands were presented with handmade custom iron trophies made by Butch of Stump Construction (side note, I received the low hand) and almost everyone received a gift to memorialize the event.

In summary, Tasha, with all of her hard work, in conjunction with all who attended, helped raise $5,000 to support the needs of people in need of hospice care, not including a Platinum Level contribution by New Vision Photography. This is an amazing annual event helping others at a pivotal point in their lives, so make sure and attend next year; it is tentatively set for the second week of May 2014.
