Hawg Wyld Cycles Birthday Bash

Written by  September 30, 2004

Once again, Hawg Wyld has had bad luck when it came to picking a good day for their events. At last year’s Birthday Bash it rained, at the Bike Show in June it was cold and overcast, and then their Bikini Bike Wash in August was rained out. This Birthday Bash was almost rained out, but the sun finally prevailed. For once, the weather predictions were accurate. Amazingly, it’s never stopped Tom from throwing a great party for his customers, old and new alike. And just like all the previous parties, it didn’t stop his loyal customers from coming in droves all day.

Although the morning started off with heavy rain, the rain was gone by noon and the party was on. Owner, Tom Talley and staff set up some great games for the crowd, including a biker trivia game. Talk about giving back to your customers! Besides free food and drink, Tom had prizes for the game winners, giveaways, raffles, a killer rock 'n roll band and 20 percent off everything in the store.

Once again Mark and Chad Groom of Groom Appliances were on hand cooking up chicken and hot dogs on their Phoenix bar-be-ques. If you haven’t seen one of these grills or tried food cooked on one, you don’t know what you’re missing. Also in attendance was Mike Grahn from Pig Glow Bike Detailing Products, The Hawg Wyld Bikini Team washing bikes with Pig Glow’s Pig Wash, and Betty “Boop” Ford with Starz Custom Leather & More, who was sewing on patches for the masses.

Hawg Wyld has always prided themselves on customer service and appreciation and it sure shows. They give back to their customers by offering great deals on merchandise, keeping their wrenching prices far below everyone else and providing outstanding service. Everyone who walks through their door receives personal care and dedication, which is a winning combination. Tom and his staff are well known for giving to local charities, sponsoring runs and events; either through donation or through direct involvement.

Hawg Wyld is the only Swift motorcycle dealer in the area and has an awesome selection to choose from. If you don’t find what you’re looking for on the showroom floor, they’ll order it to your specifications.

Don’t forget to stop by every Thursday night at Paddy O’ Quigley’s for bike night, where Hawg Wyld’s VIP Club members get reserved front row parking. If you own a Swift or are thinking about buying one, make sure you talk to Angie or Matt about becoming a member of the VIP Club. Aside from owning a great chopper, there are lots of rewards for being a part of the VIP Club.

On behalf of Cycle Connections Online Motorcycle Magazine, thanks for inviting us and a big Happy Birthday to Tom Talley & staff. We look forward to another year with you going Hawg Wyld!
