Written by  April 30, 2008

CC: Robert, what is your occupation?
Robert: I'm a mechanic at John Deere Tractor in Lee’s Summit.

CC: Do you have any hobbies other than motorcycling?
Robert: Yes, I enjoy working on my house, and I also like to fish.

CC: Robert, why do you ride?
Robert: Cuz I really enjoy it,

CC: How long have you been riding?
Robert: On the street since about 1990, and I've been riding dirt bikes since the age of 12.

CC: What was your first bike?
Robert: My first bike was a Honda 550 Four. It was just a cheap little bike.

CC: How many bikes have you owned?
Robert: I’ve owned five, including a dirtbike.

CC: How many bikes do you currently own?
Robert: Just my Texas Chopper.

CC: What do you like most about your Texas Chopper?
Robert: I like the power it has and I just like to ride around on it. I didn’t even think I would buy it, but after I rode it, I liked it. It's also short, so I can get on it. Some are just so big, that I can’t get on 'em. That’s another reason why I like it.

CC: What is your dream bike?
Robert: I have to say, right now I got it. When I get older I will probably want to get an Ultra Classic.

CC: What is your most memorable riding experience?
Robert: I don’t know. I’ve ridden so much, I really don’t know.

CC: What is your least memorable riding experience?
Robert: It would have to be laying my bike down, because it was the first and only time I've ever laid one down.

CC: To what motorcycle clubs or organizations do you belong?
Robert: The Tony Stiles Choppers Club. I used to belong to ABATE, but that was years ago.

CC: What motorcycle rallies & events have you attended, and which is your favorite?
Robert: Bikers with a Mission, Bikers for Babies, and a bunch of other ones in between. I like everybody and it’s a good time to hang out and forget everything.

CC: Do you have a favorite bike night hangout?
Robert: Frankie D’s. I've only been there twice, and when my kids grow up, I will probably explore some.

CC: How many tattoos do you have, and which is your favorite?
Robert: I have 14 on my arms, legs, and back. My Indian is my favorite because it’s in my ancestry on my mom’s side.

CC: Who is your favorite tattoo artist?
Robert: I don’t know that I have a favorite tattoo artist. They all make a good living doin what they do.

CC: Do you prefer riding in a group or by yourself?
Robert: I like to ride by myself and in small groups. I don’t like riding in big groups because you never know how people are when they ride.

CC: Who are some of your closest riding buddies?
Robert: Jeff Gensler, Jim Kelley, Tim Christopher, and Larry Fawlard. I've also ridden with Tony and Alan Stiles, and they are really nice. I ride with my Dad too.

CC: Anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Robert: Drive safe and keep it up on two!
