Herbert Hill and his '06 Harley-Davidson FHDB Street Bob

Written by  June 30, 2006

I’ve known Herbert for a number of years and was excited to hear he had finally purchased a bike. He’d never owned a bike but had been thinking about getting one for some time. He just wasn’t sure what he wanted to get. That was until Harley-Davidson came out with their new lineup of bikes for 2006. Herbert contacted me and asked what I thought about the new Street Bob. I’ve always loved bobbers so I gave two thumbs up.

A few weeks later Herbert contacted me again to tell me he’d completed his MSF class and was the proud owner of a new Harley-Davidson Street Bob. I told Herbert since he was now an official biker we’d have to feature him and his bike in an upcoming issue of Cycle Connections, so here we go!

CC: Herbert, what is your occupation?
Herbert: I’m an IT Tech Specialist.

CC: What are your hobbies other than motorcycling?
Herbert: I enjoy reading, science fiction, working out and computers.

CC: Why do you ride?
Herbert: To relax.

CC: How long have you been riding?
Herbert: Four months.

CC: What do you like most about your Street Bob?
Herbert: Aside from the looks, I really like the way I fit the bike, the mobility it gives me and the low-end torque.

CC: What is your dream bike?
Herbert: I’m not sure if it gets any better than this!

CC: Do you prefer riding in a group or by yourself?
Herbert: I enjoy both, but you can be more spontaneous when riding by yourself.

CC: Whose your closest riding buddy?
Herbert: That would have to be Jeff Holland..

CC: Is there anything else you would like to share with your fellow riders?
Herbert: If you see someone with a yellow jacket riding a Harley that will probably be me (safety first). My nickname is Neon Leon.
