CC: What is your occupation, Brett?
Brett: I’m a Field Service Engineer for General Electric and am currently working in Indonesia.

CC: Why do you ride?
Brett: For the thrill of feeling free.

CC: How long have you been riding?
Brett: 32 years.

CC: What was your first bike?
Brett: 1971 Honda CT-70.

CC: How many bikes have you owned?
Brett: 17.

CC: How many bikes do you currently own?
Brett: 2.

CC: What is the year, make, and model of your current bikes?
Brett: A 2003 Harley Road Glide and a custom 1998 Yamaha Royal Star.

CC: What do you like most about your current bikes?
Brett: The Road Glide is a good road bike. It's sleek styling, it handles well, lots of torque, good suspension, and great sound. The Royal Star is a real eye-catcher, as you can see.

CC: What is your dream bike?
Brett: Bourget’s Python Chopper. Its awesome looking.

CC: What is your most memorable riding experience?
Brett: My friends and I rented Road Kings and toured the island of Kauai in Hawaii. Beautiful scenery, great roads, and not many cars to deal with.

CC: What is your least memorable riding experience?
Brett: Riding back from Waco to Houston, Texas in the rain. Five of us were returning from camping and it was cold and rainy when my friend lost control of his motorcycle and crashed.

CC: To what motorcycle clubs or organizations do you belong?
Brett: Star Touring Association.

CC: Which motorcycle rallies & events have you attended? Which is your favorite, and why?
Brett: Daytona Bike Week, Laughlin, ROT rally, Dogs on Hogs, I liked the ROT rally because Austin Texas is close to home and it’s a great place to ride and party.

CC: Which is your favorite bike night location?
Brett: James Coney Island on Westheimer Road in Houston, Texas. On a Friday or Saturday night there are close to 200 motorcycles in the parking lot.

CC: Do you have any tattoos, and if so, which is your favorite?
Brett: I have 16 tattoos. Both arms are sleeved, my back is covered, I have two on my chest, and one on my rib cage. I like the dragon on my arm best.

CC: Who is your favorite tattoo artist?
Brett: John at Johnny Two Thumbs in Singapore. He is a good artist.

CC: Do you prefer riding in a group or by yourself?
Brett: Either. When you ride by yourself you can do your own thing. In a group it’s cool to do things together.

CC: Who are some of your closest riding buddies?
Brett: Frank Briggs, Ernie Dee and Don Smith.

CC: Just for fun, which of your riding buddies is the best rider?
Brett: Frank. He raced motocross when he was younger.

CC: Just for fun, which or your riding buddies is the worst rider?
Brett: No comment.

CC: Do you have any hobbies other than motorcycling?
Brett: Yes. I enjoy travel and drag racing.
