Here’s hoping everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I know that I sure did, plus the weather has been so nice, I rode in a New Year’s Eve Ride on December 31 and a Benefit Ride on January 7 for Amber and her boyfriend Clint, who were critically injured in a car accident on December 27. Many of you know Amber, who was our July 2010 cover model, and has also worked the Cycle Connections booth at several events this past year. Amber is also well known for working the parts and accessories counter at Dell’s Powersports in Blue Springs, Missouri. An article and photos from the benefit ride will be published in our February 2012 issue.
If you live in the KC area and are looking for something to do over the next few weeks, the annual Show-Me Bike Show will be taking place on Saturday, February 4 at the Missouri State Fair Grounds Ag Building in Sedalia, Missouri, and on Sunday, January 5, the 3rd Annual Vintage Motorcycle Show & Swap Meet will be held at the Douglas County Fairgrounds - Building #21 in Lawrence, Kansas.
And if that doesn’t quench your thirst for hot bikes, the All-American Invitational Motorcycle Show at World of Wheels is coming back to Kemper Arena the weekend of February 10-12, which is by far, Kansas City’s biggest and best annual motorcycle and car show. Gail puts on one great motorcycle show, and with this being an “invitational only” event, you’re guaranteed to see only the hottest bikes around. While you’re there, make sure to stop by the Cycle Connections booth to say hi and meet some of our cover models, plus, when you wear your Cycle Connections T-shirt to the show; stop by for your free Cycle Connections Koozie!
