I apologize for getting this month's newsletter out a bit late; however, I just got back from a 2000+ mile road trip to Sturgis and didn't have Internet access at our cabin in Nemo. I also didn't have time to write it before leaving, because after getting our August issue published we shot the winning bike and model from our cover bike & cover model search at the Grand River Summer Rally for our September cover, and I barely had time to pack for the trip. OK, although true, enough lame excuses, so how about…I was busy riding, partying and taking photos of half-naked chicks, so sitting in front of a computer simply took a backseat to the natural beauty of the scenic Black Hills of South Dakota. Yeah…that sounds better…I think I'll stick with that!

As you can tell from this month's issue, our crew was busy once again covering as many local and national rides, rallies and events as possible. We always publish articles from across the U.S. and around the world; however, this month's issue really takes the cake. We have coverage of the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge, which started in Key West, Florida and ran to Kenai Peninsula, Alaska, Stan reported on a motorcycle trip he took from Denver, Colorado to the West Coast, Ken covered the 88th Annual Race to the Clouds in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Lonnie attended a B.A.C.A. fundraiser in Bentonville, Arkansas, Lynn got us up-to-date on the goings on in Birmingham, Alabama, and Stripe, myself, and the rest of our crew wrote about everything that was going on in the Kansas City and surrounding area. Yep…I think we covered almost the entire country in this issue.

As you know, this year's Cycle Connections Cover Bike & Cover Model Search events have been a huge success, and I want to thank everyone once again for coming out to see all the incredible bikes and all the beautiful women who have participated. This month's cover features Steve Bogue's 2007 Harley-Davidson Softail Custom and Cover Model Brooke, who took first place at our cover bike and cover model search at Harley's & Horses in Kansas City, Missouri. With Sturgis and all, we don't have a search scheduled for August; however, on Saturday, September 24, we are planning to put on a Cover Bike & Cover Model Search at the Grand River Autumn Rally in Urich, Missouri, so all you beautiful women can start picking out your favorite bikinis, and all you bikers can start detailing your bikes for a chance to be photographed for one of our upcoming covers!
