FROM THE EDITOR
Spring has finally sprung, and even with the occasional April shower, this year's riding season is really starting to bloom. We already have over 40 rides, rallies and events listed on our Local Rallies & Events page for the KC area, with more being added in all major cities every day! And for those of you who plan to hit some of the big rallies this year, such as Sturgis and Daytona, among others, make sure to check out our US Rally & Event Locator.
Along with lots of great charity rides, this year's bike night season is also getting fired up and ready to go. As you know, last year we tried something new by promoting a few cover bike & cover model search events at three different bike night locations in town. These events were such a huge success that we decided to do it again this year at KC's most popular bike night locations. Our first cover bike & cover model search of the year took place on Saturday April 3 at Fathead & Braindeads Saloon in Grandview, Missouri. This event was tied in with their grand opening, and was so popular that several hundred riders showed up. We had 15 beautiful women sign up for our cover model search and 23 awesome bikes were entered for a chance to be photographed for our May 2010 cover. Our next cover bike & cover model search will take place on Thursday, May 13 at FUEL American Made Bar & Grill in Overland Park, KS. Several other popular bike night locations have contacted me about putting on a cover bike & cover model search at their locations, so keep checking back for more information!
If you don't already have this on your calendar, make sure to draw a big star, happy face, or whatever symbol you prefer on the weekend of June 18-20, which is the date for the Midwest's newest and largest motorcycle rally. The 1st Annual Grand River Summer Rally in Urich, Missouri is going to be one hell of a party, which Todd Talley and his crew has been planning for well over a year now. This rally is going to feature some of the area's best biker tribute bands such as Silver Bullet (Bob Seger), Paradise City (Guns N' Roses), Poison Overdose (Poison), Eliminator (ZZ Top), and Big Gun (AC/DC). The MC for this year's event will be Slacker from 101.1 The Fox, and the Cycle Connections crew will be hosting the motorcycle field events, which will include a slow ride contest, weenie bike, water balloon toss, keg roll, and many other great biker games. We will also be putting on one of our popular cover bike & cover model searches at the rally. There will also be lots of great vendors, great food, body painting, and all kinds of craziness. This is going to be the largest biker event of the year, and it's located only 45 minutes south of KC!
