| Is it possible to fit any more rides, rallies
and events into a single month? Every weekend in July was packed
full of charity rides, bike shows, rallies, races and everything
in between. Even though we’re blessed with over 15 hard
working and hard riding photojournalists, it’s impossible
to hit them all. We’d love to be able to attend each one,
but unfortunately we’re forced to pick and choose only
those we can logistically visit each month. |
| |
| If you haven’t yet had an opportunity to read
this month’s issue from cover to cover, now’s your
chance to pop a cold one and let your mouse do the walking. If
you’re at work, a cold soft drink might be more applicable
and help keep you gainfully employed. |

Events:
If you love bikes, blues and BBQ, consider this your personal
invitation to the First
Annual Cycle Connections People’s Choice Ride-In Bike Show!
|

|
| |
| A few weeks ago, we were contacted by Darin, a member
of the Blue
Springs BBQ Blaze Off committee and asked if we would like
to sponsor a bike show in conjunction with this year’s state
championship BBQ contest. We were also told that Blue
Springs Harley-Davidson was the main sponsor of this year’s
BBQ event and the committee thought it would be great if Cycle
Connections could put on a bike show to add to this year’s
Bikes, Blues & BBQ theme (sorry Fayetteville). |
| |
| After making a few calls to round up some really nice
trophies and talking Lori at Blue Springs Harley-Davidson out
of a few hundred dollars worth of gift certificates, our bike
show is well underway! |
| |
| The bike show is totally free to enter and we have
classes for Custom/Radical, American Cruiser, Metric Cruiser,
Sportbike and Antique, so no matter what you ride, we have a spot
for you. Plus, one lucky winner will ride away with a huge Best
in Show trophy presented by the Cycle Connections girls and will
receive a $100 gift certificate to Blue Springs Harley-Davidson.
We might even toss in a few Cycle Connections T-shirts and Koozies
if we’re feeling generous that day. |
| |
| Even if you don’t choose to enter the bike show,
you can still vote for your favorite bikes, plus there’s
also lots of great music and a beer garden. Another really cool
thing about this event is that for only one dollar you can purchase
a “Buck-A-Bone” ticket that allows you to sample some
great BBQ from your choice of more than 70 award winning BBQ teams.
Then, after narrowing down all the samples to your favorite one,
you can combine a few of your Buck-A-Bone tickets together and
receive a full BBQ meal of your choosing! What a deal! |
