April 2005 Newsletter

Don’t you just love the spring riding season? Warm days, cool evenings, and weekends packed full of great rides, rallies and events. The low humidity also makes for great riding, and you don’t have to worry about picking too many bugs out of your teeth after cruising around at night. Yum!

April has been another great month for bike shows. On Saturday, April 9, the Easyriders V-Twin Bike Show Tour 2005 returned to Bartle Hall, and several of our readers stopped by our booth to visit for a while and have their photos taken with the lovely Cycle Connections girls. We also have a very special treat for you, because Loney & Stephanie, two of our ace roving reporters were able to arrange exclusive interviews with ALL of the master bike builders on tour with the show, including Billy Lane, Kendall Johnson, Kim Suter, Rick Fairless, Aaron Greene, Dave Perewitz and more! Watch for their article in our May issue, and with so many great interviews to publish, we decided to feature two master bike builder interviews in each of the next few issues!

On Saturday, April 16, we also had a booth at Harrah’s Casino for the 1st Annual Thunder on the River Bike Show. Again, this was a great opportunity to meet our readers and hang out with several of our advertisers and local bike builders. There was also a fashion show sponsored by Worth Harley-Davidson North, which gave everyone a good taste of all the latest Harley wear! Watch for Stripe’s coverage of this event in our June issue.

And speaking of events, let's take a look at what's going on here in the Kansas City area and in your neck of the woods.
