Our May 2013 cover model is Valerie from Olathe, Kansas. Valerie is an OB Tech, and one of her ambitions is to go back to school to be a medical aesthetician. When it comes to turn-ons, Valerie had no comment; however, she did admit that liars are a major turnoff. She also admits that she’s a sucker for guys in bands.

When asked what the smartest thing is she has ever done, Valerie said “Going back to school.” On the other hand, when asked what the most stupid thing is she has ever done, she said “I broke my hand crowd surfing.” Valerie describes her personality “Shy but fun,” and she’s been told that her best attribute is her butt. LOL.

Caitlin from Roeland Park, Kansas is one our June 2013 cover models. She is a dental assistant, and her ambitions include traveling the world and enjoying life as much as possible. When asked about her hobbies, Caitlin said “Cosplay, collecting comic books, and playing with my lab/chow Samson. I'm pretty much a huge nerd. For those you who are unfamiliar with the term “Cosplay;” as was I, here’s a simple definition I found on the Internet: Cosplay, short for 'costume play,' is a type of performance art in which participants wear costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea from a work of fiction.

When it comes to turn-ons, Caitlin said “Old muscle cars, a fantastic meal and a man's man.” On the flip-side, her turnoffs are dishonesty and early mornings. Caitlin also admits that she’s a sucker for “BBQ, shoes and great music!”

When asked what the smartest thing is she has ever done, Caitlin told us “I decided to go to school to get my dental assisting degree. Waiting tables just gave every person I waited on the opportunity to screw up my entire day!” On the flip-side, when asked what the most stupid thing is she has ever done, she said “Too many to count. I did send a canoe down river by itself once. My boyfriend had had enough of me (I may have had too much to drink) and had gotten out, leaving me by myself. Pissed he had left and that I was failing miserably at manning the canoe, I sent it on its way. Definitely didn't think that one through. It is pretty hilarious though!”

Caitlin describes her personality as “Fun spirited once I get over some initial nervousness in situations. Then I usually get way to comfy, which is always a good show!” She has also been told that her best attribute is her honesty.

Just for fun, we asked Caitlin to share some of her favorite things with our readers:

Favorite color: Green.

Favorite food: I would say I crave sushi all the time!

Favorite drink (non-alcoholic): cherry Limeade.

Favorite drink (alcoholic): Bermuda Triangle served at Jazz. You can only have two because it has three types of rum in it. One of which happens to be Bacardi 151.

Favorite Restaurants: Jazz, Oklahoma Joe's and Kona. All very different; all amazing!

Favorite actor: Brad Pitt. Come on!

Favorite actress: Charlize Theron.

Favorite TV shows: Mad Men since Breaking Bad is over.

Favorite movies: It changes all the time, but I am loving Hancock and Wedding Crashers right now.

Favorite band/artist: The Beatles.

Favorite song: Something.

Do you have pets? Yes, I have an 8-year-old Lab/Chow named Samson. He is amazing, smart and fat. His diet got him down to 99 pounds.

Which motorcycle rallies & events have you attended, and which is your favorite? I’ve attended many over the years with our charity group The Bombshells. Although our yearly event 'Outlaws for Paws' is not solely for bikers, it definitely has that vibe to it. Beautiful ladies, motorcycle games and mechanical bull riding. It's hard to beat!

Which is your favorite bike night location? I love Knuckleheads because of the variety of people and entertainment.

Do you have any tattoos? No tattoos. I’ve been knocking around the idea of having a bow tattooed on the back of each of my legs.

Thanks for the interview Caitlin, and thank you for doing such a great job on our June 2013 cover!

Brookelyn from Martin City, Missouri is one our June 2013 cover models. She is a nationally published model, President/Founder/CEO of The Bombshells’ Non-Profit Charity, and a Project Engineer. Brookelyn is no stranger to our magazine, and was featured on the cover model of our August 2010 issue.

When asked about her ambitions, she told us “To be an all-around better person and to never forget that I can always be better.” Brookelyn’s hobbies include philanthropy work, modeling, playing the piano, singing, dancing, exercising, reading, aerial silks, riding her motorcycle, gardening and playing with her three pit bull babies.

When it comes to turn-ons, she said “Smiling people, the sun shining through after a rain shower, kind-hearted individuals, and a cool, clear sunrise that peeks over a mountain top.” On the flip-side, Brookelyn’s turnoffs are caddy women and dishonest men. She also admits that she’s a sucker for “Animals, most definitely, and a day with nothing scheduled!”

When asked what the smartest thing is she has ever done, Brookelyn said “Obtaining an education.” On the other hand, when asked what the most stupid thing is she has ever done, she said “Racking up $100K in federal student loans!” Brookelyn describes her personality as “Sincere, determined, often eccentric, happy, honest, motivated, and headstrong.” She also told us she’s been told that her best attribute is her character, although her smile often comes in a close second!”

Just for fun, we asked Brookelyn to share some of her favorite things with our readers:

Favorite color: Green.

Favorite food: I just love food! I love trying new foods and developing my taste with each new bite I try. If I had to pick an absolute favorite food type, I guess it would have to be seafood. Mouthwatering as I type, so yea, seafood!

Favorite drink (non-alcoholic): White grapefruit juice.

Favorite drink (alcoholic): Beer…yep!

Favorite Restaurant: As long as they serve food on a private exotic beach with open airflow, it’s my favorite restaurant!.

Favorite actors: Timothy Olyphant and Tom Hardy.

Favorite actress: Right now, Zooey Deschanel.

Favorite TV shows: Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead.

Favorite movies: Reservoir Dogs and Dirty Dancing .

Favorite bands/artists: Aaron O’Dell and The Green Goddammits, Wanda Jackson, Willie Nelson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Nikki Hill, Imelda May, Patsy Cline, Wayne “The Train” Hancock, Big Maybelle…I can keep going!.

Favorite song: No such thing! Music is fluid and changes too often.

Do you have pets? I sure do; all rescues! I have three gorgeous pit bull babies; Blade, Natalya and Lenny.

Do you ride? Yes.

Do you own your own bike? Yes.

How long have you been riding? On the back of the scooter with my father, so not sure when the first ride for me was; a long time ago.

How many bikes do you currently own? Two.

What is the year, make, and model of your current 'primary' bike? It’s a 1997 HD Dyna Lowrider Custom.

What do you like most about your bike? I like that she (yes, she!) is custom, and that she is different from every other scooter. I like that as a 1997 model, she has wisdom on the road, but still shines like she just rolled off the showroom floor.

What is your dream bike? Mine, because I own them!

Do you have any tattoos? Yes, I have two small tattoos, but am currently working with my artist on a large back piece design that is soon to come.

Who is your favorite tattoo artist? Joel McCormack at Tavern Creek Studio! Why you ask, well, not because he does bad work! He’s crazy talented!

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers? Yes, yes! Go check out The Bombshells’ Non-Profit Organization! We are a nationwide network of models (yes, lots of models) that donate our time to give-back to our local communities! Pretty girls, doing great things! We’re models on a mission – check us out at www.thebombshells.org.

Thanks for the interview Brookelyn, and thank you for doing such a great job on our June 2013 cover!

Our July 2013 cover model is LeeAnn Liberty, Missouri. She is a bookkeeper by day, and magically transforms into a roller derby player by night…weekends…or whenever her team has a game. Aside from roller derby, her other hobbies include kickboxing, running marathons and running obstacle races.

When it comes to turn-ons, she said “Someone with a sense of humor, who is active, and has a great smile.” On the flip-side, LeeAnn’s turnoffs are people who are lazy, rude and have a lack of ambition. She also admits that she’s a sucker for bad boys and good wine.

When asked what the smartest thing is she has ever done, LeeAnn said “Start over on my own and be independent.” She didn’t tell us what the most stupid thing is that she’s ever done, so it must be really bad. LOL. When asked to describe her personality, LeeAnn said “Which one?” Apparently, she has multiple personalities; however, I guess we’ve been lucky enough to only see the nice sweet one. She also told us that she’s been told her best attribute is her smile.

Just for fun, we asked LeeAnn to share some of her favorite things with our readers:

Favorite color: Pink and Royal Blue.

Favorite food: Chicken and Dumplings.

Favorite drink (non-alcoholic): Water.

Favorite drink (alcoholic): Midori, Rum and Pineapple Juice.

Favorite Restaurant: Bravo.

Favorite actors: Christian Bale.

Favorite actress: Mila Kunis.

Favorite TV shows: How I Met Your Mother.

Favorite movies: 300.

Favorite bands/artists: Matchbox 20.

Who is your favorite tattoo artist? Zeke at Freaks on Broadway. He is amazing!

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers? Yes, I’ve skated with Dead Girl Derby for three years, and I’m the co-captain of the Lovely Lethals, so come out and watch us!

Thanks for the interview LeeAnn, and thank you for doing such a great job on our July 2013 cover!

Our July 2013 cover bike is owned by good friend and fellow Cycle Connections team member Danny Webb from Kansas City, Missouri. This isn’t the first time one of Danny’s bikes has graced our cover. Our May 2012 cover featured Danny’s 2010 Harley-Davidson Street Glide, which he recently sold so he could buy his new bike. As you can see, Danny has already started customizing his Road King to make it another beautiful piece of art. For this month’s cover girl we chose LeeAnn, who makes his bike look even better!

Some of Danny’s interview answers are the same as last time; however, there’s a few things that have changed since his last cover shoot over a year ago.

CC: Danny, what is your occupation?

Danny: I’m a social worker.

CC: Do you have any hobbies other than motorcycling?

Danny: Is there anything else?

CC: Why do you ride?

Danny: It gives me a sense of freedom, to be alone and to feel the solidarity of riding with others.

CC: How long have you been riding?

Danny: Since I was five.

CC: What was your first bike?

Danny: It was a 30cc Little Indian with training wheels.

CC: How many bikes have you owned?

Danny: I believe I’ve owned nine different bikes. I drank a lot for several years, so it was kind of a blurry time. The Road King is my 3rd Harley.

CC: How many bikes do you currently own?

Danny: Just the Road King. I can’t afford to have more than one, although it would be nice to have a bobber in the garage also.

CC: What do you like most about your Road King?

Danny: The true feeling of riding without a windshield. It’s raw and honest.

CC: What is your dream bike?

Danny: For now it is my Ol’ School Road King. I’ve wanted one for quite a while, but like I said earlier I would dig having a custom Bobber also.

CC: What is your most memorable riding experience?

Danny: My first year riding to Sturgis with the Swinging Dick Bike Club (S.D.B.C.). I loved the big smile every kid in a car gave us as we passed them, and you could see the “I want to be just like you when I grow up!” look in their eyes. Riding the Black Hills was CRAZY the first time. I absolutely loved it; it was EMOTIONAL….

CC: What is your least memorable riding experience?

Danny: Years ago when I was a bad drinker. I dropped my bikes a lot of times.

CC: To what motorcycle clubs or organizations do you belong?

Danny: The Cycle Connections crew, and I’m also a member of the Sturgis Swinging Dick Bike Club - my Sturgis week group.

CC: What motorcycle rallies & events have you attended, and which is your favorite?

Danny: I rode to the 70th, 71st, and 72nd Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, a multitude of small benefit rides, and of course a lot of Cycle Connections Cover Bike & Cover Model Search events. I love them all for different reasons. As far as my favorites go, Sturgis; DUH, and Cycle Connections events because it’s fun being part of something really cool, and the smaller benefit rides because of the amazing sensation of doing something you love (riding) while contributing to an array of heart touching benefit rides.

CC: Do you have a favorite bike night hangout?

Danny: One-Eyed Jacks on Parvin Road. It’s just a bunch of good ole’ people having a good time.

CC: Tell us about your tattoos?

Danny: I have two big chest pieces, both arms are quarter sleeved, a half back piece and a half leg sleeve; all Japanese themed. My favorite is probably the Sun Rising on my leg. It’s colorful, and reminds me that tomorrow is another day; the sun always rises.

CC: Who is your favorite tattoo artist?

Danny: Butch from Butch’s Tattoo’s on 7 Highway in Blue Springs, Missouri. He does absolutely amazing work and cover up work. He does free hand, with a bonus of being very affordable. Butch is a BAD ASS tattoo artist!

CC: Do you prefer riding in a group or by yourself?

Danny: Of course, I enjoy both equally. Riding alone gives you such a sense of freedom, while riding in a group brings the feeling of camaraderie. I have no preference.

CC: Who are some of your closest riding buddies?

Danny Hard Hittin Mark Whitton, who I haven’t gotten to ride with for a while. Hope he gets another bike soon. Plus Tony Casas the Parrot savior, who I hope goes to Sturgis with us this year, and of course the Swinging Dick Bike Club.

CC: Thank you for the interview Danny.

Kathleen from Prairie Village, Kansas is our August 2013 cover model. She is a paralegal and model, and when asked about her ambitions, Kathleen said “I’m a tree hugger and a sort of hippie at heart. I’d love to run my own business in helping people to go green and live an organic lifestyle.”

As far as hobbies go, Kathleen told replied “I enjoy anything that’s outdoors! My favorite activity is camping under the stars and listening to the frogs and crickets. I love hanging out by a river or creek, and I always try to find cliffs for jumping! I also love running and working out.”

When it comes to turn-ons, she said “Confidence, a great smile and a sense of humor.” On the other hand, Kathleen told us “Bad teeth and bad breath are a major turnoff.” She also admits that she’s a sucker for a well-dressed man.

When asked what the smartest thing is she has ever done, Kathleen said “Moving to Kansas City, applying for my current job and landing it!” As far as the most stupid thing she’s ever done, she said “Drank too many Long Island Iced Teas.”

When asked to describe her personality, Kathleen said “I’m extremely outgoing once the ice has been broken, but I might seem to be shy at first. I’m a really open person and sort of eclectic. I like to consider myself as adventurous, fun and sort of a tom-boy. I’m a very sarcastic person and I’m always trying to make a joke, but they don’t always turn out well, although I sometimes crack myself up.” She also told us that she’s been told her best attribute is her ass, to which I don’t think anyone’s likely to argue against.

Just for fun, we asked Kathleen to share some of her favorite things with our readers:

Favorite color: Cerulean Blue and that super soft lavender color you see in the clouds at sunset.

Favorite food: It’s impossible for me to nail down a favorite food. I love to try new things and I love eating; a lot! I could eat fish every day of my life, but my favorite red meat is definitely lamb chops. Vegetables are a weakness for me too; asparagus, green beans, zucchini… I could go on and on.

Favorite drink (non-alcoholic): Orange juice.

Favorite drink (alcoholic): My favorites are an old fashioned or cucumber martini, but my usual is Captain and Sprite. The best morning drink is of course a mimosa or a special Bloody Mary. This is no ordinary Bloody Mary; I won’t drink those, I learned this recipe from a good friend of mine.

Favorite Restaurant: The Melting Pot.

Favorite actors: Johnny Depp, Will Ferrell and Jim Carey.

Favorite actress: Scarlett Johansson; she is absolutely gorgeous and so very talented.

Favorite TV shows: Mad Men, Parks and Recreation and The Office.

Favorite bands/artists: I really have a hard time sticking to just one favorite. A few of mine include Fiona Apple, A Perfect Circle, Tool, Bob Marley and Tom Petty.

Favorite song: Could You Be Loved by Bob Marley.

Do you have pets? Not at the moment but I love big dogs and horses.

Do you have any tattoos? No. I occasionally make a brief consideration in my mind to get one, but if and when I do, I would like it to be something I have drawn myself and means something deep for me.

Thanks for the interview Kathleen, and thank you for doing such a great job on our August 2013 cover!
