For this month's issue, we invite you to take a look behind the Scenes at our March 2014 Cover Shoot video, which follows our March 2014 cover model Mandy through her photo shoot and interview.

Mandy from Olathe, Kansas is our March 2014 cover model. Mandy is a good friend of the magazine, who we also shot for our May 2010 cover. We shot Mandy on Mark Kozak’s 1947 Harley-Davidson EL for this month’s cover.

Our March 2014 cover bike is owned by Mark Kozak of Kansas City, Missouri. Mark is an avid collector of vintage motorcycles, and we shot his brother Wayne’s 1927 Harley-Davidson JD a while back for our November 2012 cover. Their love for classic motorcycles obviously runs in the family.

Our March 2013 cover model is Katlinne from Peculiar, Missouri. She was a finalist at our Cover Model Search at The Bar in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. We had a blast shooting Katlinne Roger Lumley’s 2004 Swift Punisher for this month's cover.

We also take you behind the scenes once again for this month’s cover shoot. Below is the interview we did with Katlinne, along with some additional information we gathered from her video interview.

Katlinne is currently going to school to be an X-ray Tech and will be graduating on April 19. Her hobbies include cooking, hunting, fishing and shooting. Turn-ons include a great smile and a great personality, and Katlinne also told us that bad teeth and hygiene are a big turnoff for her. Katlinne admits that she’s a sucker for “Fast cars and motorcycles!”

When asked what the smartest thing is she has ever done, Katlinne said “Going back to school.” When asked about the most stupid thing she has ever done, she had no comment. Katlinne describes her personality as “funky and outgoing.” We also asked Katlinne what people would say is her best attribute, and she said “My eyes and legs.”

Just for fun, we asked Katlinne to share some of her favorite things with our readers:

Our March 2013 cover bike is owned by Roger Lumley, and his 2004 Swift Punisher was selected as a runner-up at our Cover Bike Search at The Bar in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. We enjoyed shooting Katlinne on Roger’s bike for this month's cover, and make sure to check out our behind the scenes video from our photo shoot!

CC: Roger, what is your occupation?

Roger: I’m a Senior Vice President and Corporate Banker at Bank of the West.

CC: Do you have any hobbies other than motorcycling?

Roger: Yes, I like to do many things, including playing golf, hunting, shooting, boating, skiing, and I’m a sports enthusiast. I’m a football and baseball fan, and I generally enjoy all things outdoors.

CC: Why do you ride?

Roger: It makes me feel “free.” I love the wind and smells of the outdoors. I also love long easy rides down winding country roads.

CC:How long have you been riding?

Roger: I started when I was young, but eventually returned to active riding eight years ago.

CC:What was your first bike?

Roger: It was a Honda Trail 90

CC:How many bikes have you owned?

Roger: Five

CC:How many bikes do you currently own, and what are they?

Roger: Currently I own two bikes. A 2003 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy and my 2004 Swift Punisher.

CC: What do you like most about your Punisher?

Roger: This bike is unique in my opinion. First, I don’t see many other Swift bikes out there. The Swift is known for its big 2 inch diameter frame. Also, this bike has a unique flame design, as the flames are actually ground into the metal tank and fenders, and then clear coated with a cool cherry red paint job.

CC: What is your dream bike?

Roger: I really like my Swift Punisher. I was looking for a bike like this for several years, and I finally found it in Texas. I bought it from the original owner who didn’t ride it much.

CC: What is your most memorable riding experience?

Roger: Some buddies and I were riding through a wild buffalo herd crossing the road in Custer State Park, on a Sturgis trip in South Dakota. As I now reflect on what we were doing at that time, it probably wasn’t the best decision; it was exciting but dangerous!

CC: What is your least memorable riding experience?

Roger: I don’t like riding in the rain!

CC: To what motorcycle clubs or organizations do you belong?

Roger: No motorcycle clubs, but I have several groups I ride with, from time to time.

CC: Which motorcycle rallies & events have you attended, and which is your favorite?

Roger: I have ridden in several charitable rides, Harley rallies, and Sturgis. Sturgis is my favorite so far, because the country is beautiful and you see people from all walks of life having a great time.

CC: Do you prefer riding in a group or by yourself?

Roger: I like both, but probably riding with buddies or my wife is most fun because I like to experience things with other people I enjoy. In a larger group, I get to see different bikes and people from different walks of life.

CC: Who are some of your closest riding buddies?

Roger: I like riding with several people; however, my long-time favorite riding buddy, Duane Konrady passed away two years ago. I am trying to get my wife Suzanne to take a long motorcycle trip with me to Arkansas or some other place.

CC: So do you have any big rides planned for this year?

Roger: I would like to take a bike trip to the Grand Canyon or to the Smoky Mountains some time.

CC: Thanks for the interview Roger, and thanks for letting us shoot your bike for our March cover!
