Parade Ride For Heflin Nursing Home (Ride & Pictures By: Bernie McMichael)

Life during the pandemic has taken on a different look. We are streaming church services; holding virtual graduations, drive by Birthday parties and so on. Riding during this pandemic is no exception. We are now doing parade laps in front of houses, hospitals and nursing homes; this is a brief look at one such event put on by one of the local H.O.G members. Thank you for doing this, I’m sure those people there really enjoyed that, and thank you for sharing with all of us!

“I was asked by a facebook friend of mine named Gail Hodges to try to get a group of bikers to ride through the Heflin Nursing home so the people there could wave at us and see the bikes.

I put out the word on facebook and the Mt Cheaha H.O.G Chapter, of which I am a member and lead road Captain.

The weather turned cool but we still had 18 bikes to ride through. It was good the see the people there waving and smiling. They had been locked down for few months.

I should have added the fact that Gail Hodges mother is in the nursing home.
