In March, Gracie played in her first Miracle League ball game. She's always wanted to play softball like her siblings but was not able to do so until now and that is made possible because of the generous donor family and her Miracle new Lungs! Her parents thought that she may never be able to play sports and do a lot of the things that most kids growing up get the pleasure of doing, but just look at the wonders of the works by GOD'S hand!
When asked what number she wanted on her jersey, she picked her favorite athlete, her Mr.” Spicy" #64, and though he no longer wears #64 and Kyle is now at a new college, he still holds a special place in the hearts of this family. They are forever grateful to UAB and Children's Harbor for bringing the families together; they say it’s more than just a football game!
Gracie was worn out after playing her first game ever...but it was so worth it, great for her, the family and of course, her fans!
As for her Ride in her honor, the ride started with registration at Rider's Harley-Davidson in Trussville on Saturday, April the 27th before heading out for a scenic ride through the country and over to Bates H.D Sales in Oneonta then riding back to Rider's for lunch, door prizes, a 50/50 draw and more. The family was there to greet the riders at the start of the ride and to participate in the day’s festivities.
We wish Miss Gracie Ann all the best in her future endeavors, and we wish her a long, happy and healthy life to come! Thank you for allowing the biker family to share in a small portion of your life, you have made us all the more better for it.
