4th Annual ChillBilly Ride-2019, Moody, Alabama

Written by  January 31, 2019

One of the joys of living in the south is that you get to ride pretty much year round! So that means in January when a lot of folks have their bikes "winterized" we have ours “winter-rides’d"

The Faith Rider's, (a faith based motorcycle club), Moody chapter, held a ride benefiting the Jimmie Hale Mission on Saturday, January the 5th, 2019; first ride of the new year.

The Faith Rider’s, Moody Chapter is based out of the First Baptist Church in Moody, which is where the ride started and ended.

After doing about an hour long scenic ride, some 80 something bikes returned the church for some all you can eat chilly with all the "fixins", door prize drawings, and some fellowship with a group of pretty awesome folks, doing some pretty awesome things.

The Jimmie Hale Mission is a nonprofit organization, housing & homeless shelter for the Birmingham and surrounding area. They also have Jessie's Place of the Jimmie Hale Mission, which helps displaced mothers and children.

Both places are doing such great things but only through the help of donations, donations from rides like this, individuals, and business’s like Western Supermarket who donated a check just this year for more than $8,500.00 thanks to the support of their local patrons and the scan-a-meal program. The company has donated more than $200.00.00, which translates to over 100,000 meals, over the past 18 years, on behalf of their customers.

Everyone left that day feeling full and blessed to have been able to help make a difference in so many peoples lives.
