Blue Ridge Ride-Georgia

Written by  August 3, 2018

On Saturday, July the 7th, 2018, a group from the Birmingham H.O.G jumped on their bikes and headed out for the Blue Ridge mountains in north Georgia, encountering rain along the way, but hey, they needed to rinse the bikes anyway!

They stopped and checked in to the cutest, rustic looking place ever, the Copperhead Lodge, even has a cute name, they also happened to be playing host to a Swap Meet that weekend, what a bonus!

After checking in the group decided to try their luck with riding the "Gauntlet", what an awesome experience that was!

Good thing they got that part of the ride in because they got rained in for a while afterward.

Sunday it was time to make the trip back home to Alabama but not before stopping at Mercier's Orchards for some really good pies, then on to "Sticky Fingers" in Chattanooga for lunch, and luckily for them.....no rain for the rest of the trip home!

Big thanks to: Lisa and Gary Townsend, Lisa and Russell Nix, Jeanette Methvin Cerisano, Lynn Pitcock Bookhultz and Shannon and Jeff LeMaster for sharing some of their cool pictures. Ms Shannon celebrated a birthday while on this trip...Happy Birthday girl, hope all your birthday wishes came true!
