Saint’s 2nd Annual Miracle League Ride, Cullman, Alabama

Written by  June 28, 2018

On June the 16th, 2018, the Saints of Cullman County and friends of the Miracle League hosted the 2nd Annual Miracle League Benefit Ride.

Brandi Story Evans and her husband, Brian “BR” Evans, president of the Cullman, Alabama Saints chapter started this ride to honor their son, Jacob who has Down Syndrome and his friends. Jacob is 26 now but has loved playing baseball for over 20 years. Jacob is also an honorary member of the Saints MC.

The miracle League is very important to them so they wanted to do something to help with registration fees for these special athletes.

Spring Baseball registration costs are $50 per player, Fall Baseball is $30 per player and Winter Basketball is also $30 per player.

Many of these players live in-group homes or have costly health care and can’t afford to pay the registration fees, so they wanted to try and ensure that EVERYONE would have the chance to play.

Last year they covered fees for 105 of these superstar athletes and raised a little over $5000 and were able to pay for their Spring Baseball Season. This year they raised over $8000 and should be able to cover registration fees for ALL THREE SEASON’S!!! How awesome is that?

The ride started in the parking lot behind the Donald E. Green Senior Center in Cullman, Alabama, and ended up at the Saint’s MC Clubhouse.

Over 120 attendees enjoyed a nice little scenic tour around Cullman, then lots of good food, some prizes and fun entertainment.
