Bikers Against Child Abuse Fundraiser – Eureka Springs, Arkansas

Written by  June 30, 2017

On Memorial weekend, May 27-28, 2017, the 4-States Event Center in Eureka Springs, Arkansas hosted a fundraising weekend to raise money for Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.).

The weekend started out with a relatively short Ice Cream Ride to the west on the curvy mountain roads to a place near Rogers, Arkansas that boasts the world’s largest ice cream cones. After the return to Eureka Springs and a little ice cream digestion, the group was served a BBQ dinner for a $10 donation to B.A.C.A. During the dinner, several items were available in a silent auction that had been donated by various people.

The following morning, everyone met for a Poker Run and Bug Splat Bingo. There were 37 bikes, a dune buggy, and 8 other 4-wheeled vehicles on the 125 mile poker run through the twist and turns to the east and south of Eureka Springs. Following the poker run, everyone met at the Events Center for an evening of karaoke with more games played to raise money.

In the end, approximately $2,400 was raised to be donated to B.A.C.A., and everybody had a lot of fun raising it. Everyone there plans to meet and do the same thing again next Memorial Weekend!
