Rides, Rallies and Events Recap

Valley Cycle Association End of Summer Run - Exeter, California

Written by  October 29, 2014

The Valley Cycle Association (VCA) End of Summer Run took place on September 27, 2014 in Exeter California. Bikers from VCA, 5 Diamonds MC, Kinfolk MC, Ninety 9 Saints MC, Sinnister MC, B.A.C.A. Bakersfield Chapter, and other riders showed up to support the run.

As usual, this ride was a poker run, and riders departed the 4K Bar Ranch at 11 a.m. Stops were made at the Sinnister Clubhouse, Ninety 9 Saints Clubhouse, 5 Diamonds Clubhouse, Kinfolk Clubhouse, and the final stop was back at 4K Bar Ranch.

The winning hand was announced by VCA Chapter President Bruce. Amazingly, the winning hand was a royal flush. Congrats Theresa on that awesome poker hand! A dinner of pulled pork, beans, cole slaw, and rolls was served up by the VCA ladies. It was delicious, as usual. The musical entertainment was provided by Fresno, California’s own A.C. Myles. A.C. is one of the hottest blues guitarists in California. His amazing guitar playing kept the crowd well entertained for 3 over hours. If you haven’t heard A.C. play, please give his website a look http://www.acmyles.com/. He has videos posted for your viewing and listening pleasure, and contact and booking info is available on his website. A.C. has recently released an album titled “Reconsider Me,” which is an excellent album. You can order it from his website.

The VCA End of Summer Run has become a fundraiser for their “Bringing Christmas Home” mission. VCA has teamed up with 5 Diamonds MC and Kinfolk MC for this great gesture of “giving back” to the community. “Bringing Christmas Home” helps make Christmas brighter for local families in need by providing presents for the kids, clothing, shoes, fixings for a complete Christmas meal, some extra groceries, and gift cards to get them through the holiday season. VCA, 5 Diamonds MC, and Kinfolk MC work very hard all year towards the “Bringing Christmas Home” campaign. Than you your efforts and giving back to the local community.

As always, a big thank you to Mr. Dennis Kelly, the owner of 4K Bar Ranch, for his gracious hospitality and support for all of VCA’s events.
