3rd Annual 5 Diamonds Visalia Rescue Mission Run - Visalia, California

Written by  July 1, 2014

The 3rd Annual 5 Diamonds MC Visalia Rescue Mission (VRM) Run was the best yet! On June 7, 2014, over 150 motorcycle riders participated in this worthy event. 5 Diamonds members were extremely busy seeking donations from local businesses to help support VRM. Their hard work paid off, and VRM received a check for $13,200!

The run started at VRM, and stops were made at Smokey’s Dead Rat Saloon in Woodlake, California; Valley Cycle Association Clubhouse in Exeter, California; Farmersville Pizza and Pub in Farmersville, California; and the final stop at the 5 Diamonds Clubhouse in Visalia, California.

There was a lot of food and drink, a live band, raffle prizes, a 50-50 drawing, and a high/low hand winners for the poker run. Over 200 people enjoyed a great time at the 5 Diamonds Clubhouse. I also found out that MMA fighter Doug “The Rhino” Marshall was one of the riders.

VRM opened its doors in 1981, and is a faith-based organization dedicated to helping men and women turn their lives around. They offer many programs to help individuals who are going through a difficult time. Over 500 meals are served each day, and VRM has two thrift stores to help defray the costs of running the shelter. The locations are at 110 E. Main Street and 2523 S. Mooney Blvd. Please top by to visit and support these stores.

VRM is always looking for volunteers to help assist with their mission of helping people. If you would like to volunteer, please visit the VRM website at www.vrmhope.org  or call 559-740-4178. There are also many upcoming events to help support the VRM mission, so please check them out!
