Cover Bike Search Winner Doug Bolton & His 2000 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail

Doug Bolton’s 2000 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail was selected as the winning bike at our Cover Bike Search at The Lake House Pub in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and will be photographed for an upcoming cover.
Doug is from Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and we had the opportunity to gather more information about him and his 2000 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail for this month's issue. We also took a few photos of cover model search winner Jennifer, on his bike.

CC: Doug, what is your occupation?
Doug: I work in the parts department at Gail’s Harley-Davidson.

CC: Do you have hobbies other than motorcycling?
Doug: Yes, I like spending time with my family, and I also enjoy hunting and golf.

CC: How long have you been riding?
Doug: I’ve been riding since 1972, and have never been without a bike.

CC: What was your first bike?
Doug: It was a1969 BSA Lightning. All H-D (8) since 73.

CC: How many bikes have you owned?
Doug: Nine, and other than my BSA, since 1973 I’ve owned eight Harley-Davidsons.

CC: How many bikes do you currently own?
Doug: I currently own three bikes. My 2000 Harley-Davidson FLSTC, a 1999 Harley-Davidson FXDWG, and a 1972 Harley-Davidson FX Super Glide.

CC: What do you like most about your Heritage?
Doug: It’s sharp, clean, and not overdone.

CC: What is your dream bike?
Doug: A 1952 Pan.

CC: Do you belong to any clubs?
Doug: I belong to no clubs. I like riding alone, or with my two brothers.

CC: What is your most memorable riding experience?
Doug: All my trips on the bike were my favorites.

CC: What is your favorite bike night location?
Doug: FUEL.

CC: Any tattoos?
Doug: I have one tat on my back.
