Cover Bike Search Winner Cole Sheriff & His 1980 Custom Harley-Davidson Chopper

Cole Sheriff’s 1980 Custom Harley-Davidson Chopper was selected as the winning bike at our Cover Bike Search at The Bar in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and will be photographed for an upcoming cover.
Cole is from Kansas City, Missouri, and we had the opportunity to gather more information about him and his 1980 Custom Harley-Davidson Chopper for this month's issue. We also took a few photos of cover model search winner Sarah, on his bike.

CC: Cole, what is your occupation?
Cole: I’m a tech at Cunningham Auto Body.

CC: Do you have hobbies other than motorcycling?
Cole: Yes, I also like to go fishing and hunting.

CC: Why do you ride?
Cole: I ride because it gives me an escape from the world.

CC: How long have you been riding?
Cole: I’ve been riding the street for the last 11 years.

CC: What was your first bike?
Cole: It was a 1958 Harley-Davidson frame with a shovelhead motor.

CC: How many bikes have you owned?
Cole: I’ve owned two bikes.

CC: How many bikes do you currently own?
Cole: I currently own one bike at this time; my chopper.

CC: What do you like most about your chopper?
Cole: I like the seat. Everybody wants to know how it feels because it’s made out of metal.

CC: What is your dream bike?
Cole: A 1948 knucklehead. I just like the old school stuff.

CC: What is your most memorable riding experience?
Cole: My most memorable riding experience was when my exhaust fell off on my way to Bikes, Blues, and BBQ, because it was an unexpected bump in the road that made it more of a memorable experience.

CC: What is your least memorable riding experience?
Cole: My least memorable moment was when I blew my motor up and couldn’t get home.

CC: What is your favorite motorcycle rally?
Cole: I’ve traveled all over the states to go to different rallies, but my most favorite would be Sturgis and Bikes, Blues and BBQ because of the people, the atmosphere, and the roads you’re able to ride.

CC: What is your favorite bike night location?
Cole: Russo’s, because of their taco night.

CC: Tell us about your tattoos, and which is your favorite?
Cole: I have eight tattoos from my lips to my legs. My favorite is my sheriff’s badge on my shoulder.

CC: Who is your favorite tattoo artist?
Cole: Raymond at Bleeding Heart Tattoo, because I like his style and the extra detail.

CC: Do you prefer riding in a group or by yourself?
Cole: It depends on the day.

CC: Who are some of your closest riding buddies?
Cole: I ride with Dan Carver, Dennis Miller, Mike Gibb and Vince Cunningham.

CC: Is there anything else you’d like to share?
Cole: Big thanks to Mike 71 Cycles in Harrisonville, Missouri, Cunningham Auto Body in Independence, Missouri and my Dad.
