3rd Annual Dirt Drags & Field Meet - Sedalia, Missouri

Written by  August 31, 2005

Dust was in the air at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia the evening of July 30. The Iron Horsemen, with promotional assistance from Yeager's Cycle Sales, Dick’s Honda, and Independent Cycle, put on their 3rd Annual Dirt Drags and Field Meet. A number of riders from the Kansas City area joined the locals in a fine display of rider skills and wild drag racing action. Plaques were awarded for the first three places in each event. The field events included the following: Slow Ride (solo and two-up), Ball Drop, Boot Toss, Keg Roll, and Barrel Race (street and knobby tire classes). The drag racers were also divided between street tires and knobbies. When the competition was finished, the Top Cowboy award went to Rob Parkhurst. The event was great fun for spectators and competitors alike.
