Missouri Allows Sunday Motorcycle Sales

Written by  September 28, 2014

As many of you already know, especially those living in Missouri and Kansas, in order to help keep Missouri motorcycle dealerships competitive with the Kansas dealerships, as of August 28, 2014, Missouri motorcyclists could begin buying motorcycles on Sundays.

The ban was lifted on the Sunday sales of motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, personal watercraft and other items typically sold by Missouri power-sports dealers.

The legislation was advocated by motorcycle riders and at least one Kansas City Harley-Davidson dealership owner, who told lawmakers he was losing Sunday business to his competition in Kansas.

The Missouri legislation did not repeal the state’s ban on Sunday sales of cars and trucks.
