2014 All-American Motorcycle Show/World of Wheels - Kansas City, Missouri

The 54th Annual O’Reilly Auto Parts World of Wheels Show drew big crowds of auto and motorcycle enthusiasts to Kansas City’s Bartle Hall during the weekend of February 14-16. A special added attraction at the show every year is the All-American Motorcycle Show presented by Gail’s Harley-Davidson .

10th Annual Christian Biker Workshop - Kansas City, Missouri

For ten years, people who share a passion for their religious faith and the love of motorcycling have gathered on the campus of Calvary Bible College and Theological Seminary on a Saturday early in January for a Christian Biker Workshop sponsored by the Kansas City Chapter of Cycle Disciples M/C .

VCA's Bringing Christmas Home 2013 - Exeter California

Valley Cycle Association (VCA) held its 2013 “Bringing Christmas Home” run on Sunday, December 22, 2013.75+ Riders from VCA, 5 Diamonds MC, 99 Saints MC, Central Valley Riders MC, Street Royalty MC, and Kinfolk MC participated in the run. Three pickup trucks were needed to haul the presents and elves!

16th Annual Veterans Ride - Grandview, Missouri

Every year around Veterans Day, Tom Allen, a long-time Gail’s Harley-Davidson employee and a Vietnam vet, leads a ride to honor military veterans. This year’s ride was on Saturday, November 9, an absolutely beautiful Fall day. The 180 or so participating motorcycles were staged in the lot behind the dealership. Registration was free, and the first 100 riders received a ride pin. The riders gathered just prior to the 12:30 p.m. beginning of the ride and were welcomed by Gail. Biker Halloween Bash at Sparks America - Sparks, Oklahoma

Witches are said to ride broomsticks. As it turns out, some ride motorcycles. So do ghosts, vampires, knights, naughty nurses, doctors (with questionable credentials), and various other costumed characters. Around Halloween, they all head for Sparks America Campground near tiny Sparks, Oklahoma for a long weekend of partying, playing games, listening to live music, and celebrating the biker lifestyle. 25th Annual Toys for Tots Ride - Rawhide Harley-Davidson - Olathe, Kansas

In spite of temperatures in the forties, Kansas City area bikers mounted up, loaded toys on their scoots, and headed for Rawhide Harley-Davidson in Olathe, Kansas. The date was November 3, and the occasion was the 25th Annual Toys for Tots Ride. Members of the Central Midwest H.O.G. Chapter were on hand to direct parking and assist with registration. Participants donated at least $10 and a new unwrapped toy and received a goodie bag, souvenir coin, and ride pin. The Combat Logistics Regiment 4 is responsible for toy collection. 12th Annual 9-11 Tribute Rally and Ride - Grandview, Missouri

On September 7, thousands of motorcyclists gathered at Gail’s Harley-Davidson in Grandview-Missouri to honor the memory of the 9-11 victims and to show appreciation for veterans, those currently in military service, and people who work in law enforcement and emergency services. The day began with free biscuits & gravy. There were activities for the children and various displays to see including first responder vehicles, antique military vehicles, police cars and motorcycles, General Tommy Franks Traveling Museum, and dozens of vendor booths.

2013 Heartland Police Motorcycle Challenge - Independence, Missouri

The Heartland Police Motorcycle Association was formed in September 2010 with the goal of emphasizing the importance of continued training in an effort to improve the safety of police motorcycle operations in conjunction with raising money for various charity organizations or groups. Each year the association conducts a police motorcycle training seminar/competition. 15th Annual Autumn Thunder Beach Rally - Panama City Beach, Florida

The Autumn Thunder Beach Rally in Panama City Beach, Florida kicked off on Wednesday October the 2, 2013, with live bands jumpstarting the party at Sharky’s, Salty Goat, Wicked Wheel, Ms. Newby’s and Whiskey’s Saloon. Whiskey’s also played host to the 1st preliminary round of the Miss Thunder Beach contest.

Trans-Labrador Highway

Tom and I arrive at Baie-Comeau Canada located on the Fleuve St. Laurent (St. Lawrence Seaway) in late afternoon, mid-June 2013, where we were to meet up with Dave and Blair to ride the Trans-Labrador Highway. This highway is roughly 1000 miles of a combination of new asphalt to potholed gravel and everything in between. It is in the process of being all paved so this will be one of the last years in its current rough state.

19th Annual Kansas City Bikers for Babies® RIDE – Kansas City, Kansas

The nation’s number one Bikers for Babies® fundraiser takes place in Kansas City. Beginning in 1995 with $3,000 raised by 130 riders the event has seen dramatic growth. Last year participants numbering nearly 5,000 came from 20 states and raised more than $675,000 for March of Dimes.

38th Annual A.B.A.T.E. of Kansas Labor Day Rally - Perry Lake, Kansas

I arrived at the A.B.A.T.E. of Kansas rally area at Paradise Point, Perry Lake, about mid-afternoon on Friday, August 30. The weekend weather forecast calling for extreme heat proved to be accurate. Free bottled water and a mist tent provided welcome relief for bikers at the end of their ride and the beginning of their party.
