Women Riders in India

India is jumping on the “women should be riding” bandwagon. Recent articles and blogs are touting reasons why more Indian woman should be on motorcycles. Some of the reasons listed in IDiva, an online Indian news site for women, include:

  • Managing a motorcycle will definitely instill a sense of confidence, adventurism, daring and individualism. You'll feel great about yourself.
  • As a female motorcyclist, you'll inspire more women to follow suit.
  • It's the perfect excuse to include leather and boots into your fashion.
  • There is something really sexy about a woman in a leather jacket, denims, boots, gloves and a pair of sunglasses. You'll turn heads, for sure.
  • It's a great way to avoid the sexual harassment that comes with using public transport: leering, groping, inappropriate gestures; you've seen it all.
  • It also saves you the trouble of haggling with cab and auto drivers while you are in a rush to get to work.
  • Motorcycling is a good way to get some low-impact exercise. Being in control of the mean machine requires constant use of many different muscles.

Katy Sagal

Katey SagalOnce again, the Emmys completely ignored Katey Sagal and her portrayal of Sons of Anarchy matriarch Gemma Teller Morrow.

In fact, for the seventh and final time, the entire Sons of Anarchy show was completely shut out of the nominations.

But that’s ok; we know who the real “winners” are.
