Our July 2015 cover bike is owned by Mark Kozak, and we thought his 1971 Harley-Davidson FX Super Glide, with its “Sparkling America” red, white, and blue color scheme was the perfect motorcycle for this month’s patriotic-themed cover.

For this month's issue, we invite you to take a look behind the Scenes at our July 2015 Cover Shoot video, which follows cover model Brandie through her interview photo shoot on Mark Kozak's1971 Harley-Davidson FX Super Glide.

Brandie from Eudora, Kansas is our July 2015 cover model. Brandie is a bartender and model, and she told us her ambition incluiding getting her master's degree in accounting and being the first Victoria Secret model with tattoos. Brandie’s hobbies include fishing, hunting, riding, shooting her bow, and anything outside. When asked about turn-ons, she said “Cowboys!” On the flipside, Brandie told us that cocky men are a huge turnoff.

Back in March, my good friend Stan contacted me to let me know that he and his long time ridding buddy Jeff were planning a motorcycle trip out to Washington, DC, down the Blue Ridge Parkway to the Tail of the Dragon, and back through Nashville and Memphis. Since they would be riding through Kansas City, I invited him and Jeff to stay with us like they did last year, when heading they were heading to the Natchez Trace Parkway.

Blue laws in the United States vary by state. By definition, Blue laws are laws that were historically designed to “enforce” religious standards. Because of this “law,” many states prohibit the selling of particular items on Sundays, including groceries, alcohol, office supplies, housewares, cars, and even motorcycles; under the rationale that people should be in church on Sunday rather than out spending their money and supporting our economy.

The 2nd Annual Radar's Run for Fallen Friends took place on Sunday May 3, 2015. This annual memorial ride and poker run is a celebration of life in memory of our friend Carl Brent “Radar” Estep, as well as other friends who have passed, with all proceeds going to St Jude’s Research Hospital.

On Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Indian Motorcycle Kansas City hosted their 2nd annual Indian demo rides, which enabled Indian motorcycle enthusiast and wannabe Indian riders the opportunity to demo their 2015 line-up.

A couple weeks ago, I received an e-mail from one of our readers namedNancy Scheiterle, asking if we could send her copies of our February 2015 cover. Nancy informed me that she had recently purchased the 2013 Honda Fury featured on that month’s cover, which was the Biker Build-Off Winner at Shawnee Cycle Plaza from their Team Building Competition we covered back in November 2014.
