Alex Goen – CEO TRIMSPA® and WINFUEL™
Cedar Knolls, New Jersey

CC: Being the CEO of TRIMSPA and WINFUEL, do you have time for any hobbies?
Alex: Yes. I enjoy playing with my kids, spending time with my wife, fishing and riding.

CC: How long have you been riding?
Alex: Since I was ten years old.

CC: What was your first bike?
Alex: A mini-bike, then a MX-80 and a YZ-125.

CC: How many bikes have you owned?
Alex: Ten or more.

CC: How many bikes do you currently own?
Alex: Seven.

CC: Wow! What is your dream bike?
Alex: This WINFUEL bike that Hellraisers built.

CC: Do you belong to any motorcycle clubs or organizations?
Alex: Yes, I’m currently a H.O.G. member.

CC: Which motorcycle rallies & events have you attended, and do you have a favorite?
Alex: Daytona Bike Week, The Elvis Run and the Garlic Run. Daytona was my favorite because the gravity and tradition make for a really fun time.

CC: How many bikes have you had built for the TRIMSPA organization, and who were the builders?
Alex: Four bikes so far. OCC, Bourget Bike Works and Big Boar.

CC: What is your motivation for using motorcycles as an advertising venue?
Alex: Motorcycles are cool, sexy, fast and powerful. The ones we had built in addition, were unique and cutting edge. Our products clearly have those same virtue.

CC: Tell me about the relationship between TRIMSPA, WINFUEL and NASCAR?
Alex: TRIMSPA’s core values are sexy, powerful, attitude and NASCAR. Their cars are definitely sexy and powerful. The best drivers have the right attitude. When it comes to WINFUEL, WINFUEL is all about one thing and one thing only, and that’s Winning and it’s disdain for losing. If you look at the team we’ve put together for this year; Shane Hmiel, Mark MacFarland, Todd Braun, and Dale Earnhardt, Jr., they are all about Winning, and WINFUEL is all about Winning.

CC: Several of the bikes you have had built are in relation to your NASCAR sponsorship. Why match the two?
Alex: People who love racing, typically love bikes, power, sexy powerful things that have a lot of attitude, and they love Winning. It’s just a perfect match, although we don’t always match the two. Some of the bikes we’ve built have absolutely nothing to do with NASCAR. In addition to showing the bike, it will be ridden by numerous others, just as some of our other bikes have been. We have done several charity events, as well as motorcycle events.

The most common question people asked when we display our bikes at the NASCAR events are, “Can you start them up?” They are motor-heads. I’m a motor-head, and I don’t know why I am the way I am, but I’m sure many of your readers ask the same exact question. As immature and as illogical as it seems to be, I just love the way a motorcycle sounds, smells and just looking at them. It’s the same with these racecars. I get so excited just getting close to the track. When I do get close, I roll down my windows and can’t wait to hear the roar of that first engine. Sometimes I walk into my garage and it may be a lousy day, especially in the middle of winter, and I start the bike just to hear that sound. Call me immature, but I suspect I’m in similar company.

CC: What can we look forward to in the future from TRIMSPA and WINFUEL, and its relationship with master bike builders?
Alex: I believe you’ll see more spectacular bikes. Not just out of TRIMSPA, but sister company, WINFUEL, and we’re working on a parent company bike for Goen Technologies Corporation. We have a lot of sick bikes planned.

CC: What other high profile sports are you affiliated with?
Alex: We have been affiliated with various types of high profile sports, such as volleyball, football, boxing and soccer. We have a major focus on soccer this year, which ties in quite well with the debut of our WINFUEL products.

CC: What other relationships will you form to promote the WINFUEL product?
Alex: We have several celebrity and athlete relationships that will be unveiled over the next several months, but until then, they have to be kept confidential.

CC: We assume other than just showing the bike, it will be ridden by Shane Hmiel. Will he be doing this at each race or only occasionally for promotional purposes?
Alex: We plan to have Shane ride the bike up on stage in Atlanta, when he is being interviewed by one of the NASCAR programs.

CC: Alex, thanks for the very informative and insightful interview. Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?
Alex: As much as I love racing and riding, everyone please keep in mind, especially with riding, that it can be dangerous. Don’t ever drink and ride, and always ride incredibly defensively. You never know what some other idiot could do. Enjoy!
