Our September 2013 cover bike is owned by Bill Rothery, and his 2003 Panzer Chopper was selected as the winning bike at our Cover Bike Search at Gail’s Harley-Davidson in Grandview, Missouri. We had a great time shooting Gen on Bill’s bike for this month's cover, and make sure to check out our behind the scenes video from our photo shoot!



CC: Bill, what is your occupation?

Bill: I’m a maintenance mechanic.



CC:How long have you been riding?

Bill: I’ve been riding about 42 years.



CC:What was your first bike?

Bill: It was a 1967 Harley-Davidson Sportster 900



CC:How many bikes have you owned?

Bill: Two



CC:How many bikes do you currently own?

Bill: One. The chopper.



CC: What do you like most about your Panzer?

Bill: I like that it’s a rigid frame chopper.



CC: What is your most memorable riding experience?

Bill: Riding to Sturgis, because of the ride, the people and the experience.



CC: To what motorcycle clubs or organizations do you belong?

Bill: I belong to the Motorcycle Riders Foundation and Freedom of Road Riders (FORR).



CC: Which motorcycle rallies & events have you attended, and which is your favorite?

Bill: I have ridden to Sturgis, Bikes Blues & BBQ in Fayetteville, Bikers for Babies, Janey’s Ride, Wounded Warrior, Patriot Express Ride and Ride for the Cure. Sturgis and Fayetteville are the best!



CC: Do you have a favorite bike night location?

Bill: There are three I like. Gail’s Harley-Davidson, Worth Harley-Davidson and Kearney.



CC: Do you prefer riding in a group or by yourself?

Bill: Both. I like riding alone and with friends and family.
