Customer Appreciation Party at Riders Harley-Davidson

Written by  May 31, 2005

On Saturday, April, 23, our friends Mad Dog, Linda, Tim Peek, Roger Kinard and Jeff Singleton invited us to an after hours customer appreciation party at Riders Harley-Davidson in Trussville, Alabama. Tim works at the dealership and Roger and Jeff are members of the Birmingham H.O.G. Chapter.

They have customer appreciation sales and parties often, which makes for a nice ride and a fun get-together, including plenty of great food and music. We have several nice Harley shops here in Alabama, such as the Heart of Dixie Harley Shop in Pelham, Alabama, which always has something going on.

In conjunction with the H.O.G. Chapter, both are very active in local events that help the community and surrounding areas. However, Riders Harley-Davidson, holds a special place in our hearts, because we have many friends who work and shop there. As a matter of fact, I think they have the largest, nicest, Harley shop in the country, with the most friendly and helpful people.

They keep a very large selection of motorcycles, apparel and parts, and they even have a whole corral of those new choppers that Harley has out. Those bad boys have some wicked paint jobs!

This party was a good one, and it was AFTER HOURS! It was cold that night, so we leathered up and rode. I did whine a little on the way back because IT WAS COLD!

Some people drove, but they did have a fire barrel setup for everyone to warm themselves, which we made good use of. A lot of people brought beer, and there were several bags of Jell-O shooters going around. They were very good, so I had sev-er-al, which warmed you up from the inside. There were also stacks of pizzas, with a variety of toppings. The boxes worked well in the fire too, so nothing went to waste. Tim said it was a nine wooden flat and 40-pizza box night!

Inside the warehouse/storage building they had a great band playing for those riders with 'dancing feet.' The H.O.G. Chapter's web photographer, Steve Campbell, was also there getting some really cool shots for their web site. He sent me a couple to add to the ones I took so we could share them with you. If you would like to see more, you can go to their web site at www.birminghamhog.com.

We had a great time partying with good friends all evening, and I really look forward to the next one! Thanks Guys!
