TJ’S Over the Edge - Blue Springs, Missouri |
|
| “Ride Hard or Stay Home” is their slogan, and that phrase sticks with me every time I visit this unique biker friendly bar and restaurant that's been several years in the making. When I walked into TJ’S the first time I was amazed at how clean and well organized the place is, and the quality of entertainment TJ and Jimmy provides their customers is second to none. TJ's opened their doors on November 15, 2006 and has offered their customers a full line of gourmet foods from huge hamburgers to delicious fresh crab legs, and I would have to say the best prime rib in the KC area, courtesy of Wyatt’s Catering. The reason for this family run restaurant's continued success is that TJ, Jimmy, Katie, and their entire staff constantly strives to maintain a family atmosphere that supports all motorcycle riders and offers great food and drink specials with an incredible menu that's always changing! Bike nights have become so popular these days that TJ'S Over the Edge has decided to take things to the new level, or dare I say, 'Over the edge!' From the minute you park your bike and walk through the front door you realize this is a great biker-friendly hangout. I mean how can you go wrong with great live music that changes every week, awesome food and drink specials, several TVs to catch the Chiefs game or NASCAR race, plus numerous games from which to choose, such as pool, darts and shuffleboard. Early one afternoon I decided to sneak into TJ's before it started getting busy so I could take a few good shots of the inside of the bar so could see for yourself what I'm talking about. Too many bars these days want a piece of the bike night action only because it's a great way to generate additional revenue on their slower nights, however, since the first time I met Jimmy and TJ, their true passion for bikers was obvious because Jimmy and Katie also ride. They never miss an opportunity to get out and enjoy the open road like all of us and go out of their way to support the local motorcycle community. I have made the Blue Springs 7 Highway Wednesday bike night run several times, and I always seem to spend a little extra time at TJ's because every time I go there I always have a great time! So, when you need to get out after a hard days work or you and your significant other are looking for a great place to have dinner and a couple drinks with great live music, give TJ'S Over the Edge a try. And don't forget to try the prime rib. You won't be disappointed! By Dave Miller
