Ty from Knob Knoster, Missouri is our December 2013 cover model. She took first place at our Cover Model Search on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Blue Springs Harley-Davidson in Blue Springs, Missouri.
Below is the interview we had with Ty, and we’d also like to invite you behind the scenes at this month’s cover shoot where we gathered additional information from her video interview.
Ty works in the finance department at Blue Springs Harley-Davidson, and her ambitions include finishing her Bachelor’s Degree and to excel in the Harley business or try to enlist in the Army as a commissioned officer. In her spare time, she enjoys riding motorcycles and hanging out with her husband and with her friends at Blue Springs Harley-Davidson. When asked about turn-ons, Ty said “A fun personality, and someone who is outgoing. I also love a uniform and of course a man on a motorcycle!” On the flip-side, she told us she’s turned off by someone who thinks they know everything, and that their sh*t don’t stink. Ty also admits that she’s a sucker for a sweet guy that looks tough in uniform.
When asked what the smartest thing is she’s ever done, Ty said “Getting into motorcycles. I don’t know how I lived without one.” When asked what the most stupid thing is she’s ever done, she said “Getting into motorcycles, according to my family. They hate it! LOL.” Ty describes her personality as “Fun, outgoing, and I’m’ a very passionate person toward things I care about.” We also asked her what people would say is her best attribute, and Ty said “My personality. I like to think I’m pretty fun and outgoing, and easy to get along with.”
Just for fun, we asked Ty to share some of her favorite things with our readers:

Do you have pets? Yes. I have three pit bulls and a German Shepard.
Do you ride? Yes.
Do you own your own bike? Yes.
How long have you been riding? Since I was about 17, but not an avid real rider until we bought our Harleys.
What was your first bike? Technically, my first bike was a Denim Black 2012 Harley-Davidson Street Bob.
Do you prefer riding in a group or with just one bike? Six.
How many bikes do you currently own? Two.
What is the year, make, and model of your bike? Well, the past few months, it’s been a 2012 Harley-Davidson Street Glide, but the bike I was on before the Street Glide is a 2013 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Lo.
What do you like most about your Street Glide? The radio, because I commute 120 a day, and I’m always by myself. It’s so nice to have some music!
What is your dream bike? I wouldn’t mind having a CVO Road Glide with a 110 ci motor and an amazing paint scheme.
What is your most memorable riding experience? In 2012, when my husband and I rode to Oklahoma. There was no rain in the forecast, so we didn’t pack rain gear. We got just north of Joplin, and it poured like never before. What usually takes about 6 hours to get home took 12 hours of riding in the cold and pouring rain. We did meet some pretty cool people who got stuck in the rain, and I’ll definitely never forget it. This is both my most and least memorable riding experience.
To what motorcycle clubs to you belong? I belong to the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.).
What motorcycle rallies & events have you attended? None yet, but I sure hope to soon.
Do you have a favorite bike night hangout? Yes, Blue Springs Harley-Davidson, with cool bands and fun people.
Tell us about your tattoos. I have five tats on my back, my thigh, and my ankle. The one on my ankle is my favorite because I designed it and it’s for my husband and I.
Do you prefer riding in a group or by yourself? In a group, but I’m always by myself most of the time. I love the company.
Who are some of your closest riding buddies? My husband and all my friends from work.
Thanks for the interview Ty, and thank you for doing such a great job on our December 2013 cover!
