Our April 2011 cover model is Kelly from Kansas City, Kansas. Believe it or not…she’s a construction worker, and her ambition is “To get into heaven.” After the first couple interview question I knew Kelly’s sense of humor would make for a very entertaining interview.
When it comes to hobbies, Kelly enjoys playing pool, riding motorcycles and drawing. Her turn-ons include a pretty smile, tattoos, and an easy-going personality. On the flip-side, jerks, stuck up people and bad breath is a real turnoff…”Especially if they’re a stuck up jerk with bad breath!” Kelly also admits that she’s a sucker for chivalry.
When asked what the smartest thing is she has ever done, Kelly said “Using only a spoon and a package of gravy, I successfully defended a small village against a colony of army ants.” Kelly also went on to tell me the most stupid thing she’s ever done is “When I flew to Los Angeles when I was 17, told my parents I would be at the lake, and picked a lake that was within a 30 minute drive from my parent’s house. Needless to say, they found out, and I spent the next five months living in L.A.”
When asked to describe her personality, Kelly said “Winning...or bizarre…whichever!” Why do I sense a slight reference to Charlie Sheen? We also asked Kelly what people think is her best attribute, to which she replied “My sense of humor,” which should come as no surprise.
Just for fun, we asked Kelly to share some of her favorite things with our readers:
Favorite color: Green
Favorite food: The edible kind…I like it all, but give me steak and potatoes instead of a limp salad any day.
Favorite drink (non-alcoholic): They make non-alcoholic drinks?
Favorite drink (alcoholic): Yes! :-)
Favorite actor: Jim Carey to make me laugh, and Jason Stathom for everything else.
Favorite actress: The old woman in Fried Green Tomatoes. Me jealous? No wa!
Favorite TV show: A Haunting. I’ve seen every episode over ten times…come on Discovery Channel…time for a new season!
Favorite movie: It’s a toss-up between A Shawshank Redemption and Blazing Saddles. It depends on if I’m in the “stick it to the man” kinda mood or feel like laughing till I toss my Funyuns.
Favorite artist: Josh Ritter.
Favorite song: The Curse by Josh Ritter
Do you have pets? Yep, two kitties. Katie and the infamous Randall…known on the streets as “Tan Man…the annihilator of small woodland creatures.”
Do you ride? O yeah!
Do you own your own bike? Not yet, but within a year.
How long have you been riding? For about a decade.
What was your first bike? A Huffy…but it was awesome!
How many bikes have you owned? None with a motor.
What is your dream bike? I’m getting a Ridley because it’s automatic. So when a deer jumps in front of me and I attempt to pull in the clutch, I don’t throw myself over the handlebars.
What is your most memorable riding experience? I spent a beautiful week in Sturgis. You can’t beat the scenery!
What is your least memorable riding experience? Bikers for Babies one year when it was FREEZING and raining. It was like having my face tattooed in 30 degree weather.
Which motorcycle rallies & events have you attended, and which is your favorite? Besides the little things in my hometown, I’ve only been to Sturgis twice, and I loved it. Sturgis is a non-stop party, and I was on the show Full Throttle for tasing the kitchen boss for a kiss. Memorable
Which is your favorite bike night location? Frankie D’s and Kobi’s in Bonner Springs, Kansas. Frankie has the best bands and Vickie at Kobi’s knows how to make sure everyone has a great time!
Do you have any tattoos? Yes, I have three. I have a little one I regret on my right shoulder, a butterfly on my stomach, and my favorite covers over a quarter of my back, which is lilies, leaves, and a skull. It’s my favorite because I got it for my daughter. Her name is Lily.
Who is your favorite tattoo artist? Jeremiah Acquistapace, because he is the BEST!
Do you prefer riding in a group or by yourself? It depends what kind of mood I’m in.
Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers? Whatever it is that you want in life is the thing you must give away. Only then will you get it!
Thank you Kelly for the interview, and for doing such a great job on your photo shoot!
