CC: Darwin, what is your occupation?
Darwin: I’m a semi-retired race promoter for Soul Brothers Race Team.

CC: Why do you ride?
Darwin: I love the feel of the outdoors and feel of the monster big block between my legs.

CC: How long have you been riding?
Darwin: Around 50 Yrs.

CC: What was your first bike?
Darwin: It was a Czeck 125 Enduro.

CC: How many bikes have you owned?
Darwin: Being that I owned a motorcycle shop; hundreds ( Smile). Personal bikes is probably around 15.

CC: How many bikes do you currently own?
Darwin: None other than a 4-wheeler and a scooter.

CC: What is the year, make, and model of your current 'primary' bike?
Darwin: My 4-wheeler is a 2000 Yamaha Banshee. It has some special stuff.

CC: What do you like most about your current 'primary' bike?
Darwin: It has 20” wire wheels and spinners. It gets plenty of attention, let me tell you.

CC: What is your dream bike?
Darwin: The new style choppers, like Orange County Choppers and Jesse James build.

CC: What is your most memorable riding experience? Why?
Darwin: I was riding with a passenger when we went around a curve too fast and my passenger leaned the wrong way and we went down into the ditch! Amazingly we did not crash, so I rode home after dropping of my startled passenger, took off my underwear and through them against the wall, and what do you know what? They Stuck!

CC: If that was your most memorable riding experience, what was your least memorable experience?
Darwin: I got caught riding in the rain about 100 miles from home with no rain gear. Brrr

CC: To what motorcycle clubs or organizations do you belong?
Darwin: None. I’m currently too busy racing.

CC: Which motorcycle rallies & events have you attended and which is your favorite?
Darwin: My favorite is the Pro Star Drag racing world finals, which used to be called the IDBA World Finals. I have not missed one of these in 22 years; just ask Dave Miller.

CC: Which is your favorite biker hangout?
Darwin: Wednesday and Friday grudge nights at the KCIR Drag Strip.

CC: Do you have any hobbies other than racing your drag bike and motorcycling?
Darwin: Traveling with my darling wife and drag racing my 454 powered S-10 Chevrolet pick.

CC: Do you prefer riding in a group or by yourself?
Darwin: By myself. It’s is safer.

CC: Who are some of your closest riding buddies?
Darwin: I don’t really have any, so I ride solo.

CC: Just for fun, which of your riding buddies is the best rider?
Darwin: Me! (Smile)

CC: Just for fun, which or your riding buddies is the worst rider?
Darwin: Nobody. We can’t afford to crash, with what these drag bikes cost today!

CC: Is there anything else you would like to share with your fellow riders?
Darwin: I will be promoting another drag race on September 4th and 5th at Thunder Valley Raceway in Noble, Oklahoma. Hope to see you there!
